Unsustainable human activities have extremely altered the natural marine world creating a strong imbalance. This is why at Coastruction, we embrace nature based solutions through our complex reefs that mimic natural reef structures because nature knows best. In the video below, Nadia Fani and Astrid Kramer showcase our reef structures and explain how our reefs are designed with voids and crevices that create habitat for different marine species. Our reefs are also used to study how complexity impacts wave attenuation.
